Scylla and Charybdis

To reach Ithaca, Me and my crew had to decide, either row near the rocks and risk loosing men to Scylla, the great 6 headed monster, or row far away from Scylla, but risk the huge hydra monster Charybdis, destroying my whole ship and all my men. My choice was to row near Scylla, better loose men and not my entire ship. We rowed on near the rocks, we saw nothing at first. Suddenly one of my men were grabbed by the monster. I told my men to row, we needed to get far away from here. The monster grabbed two more of my men. I told them to give the monster a sheep, we threw the sheep to the rocks. For a moment every thing was still. Then like lightning, the monster grabbed the sheep. We could hear the sheep being chewed by the horrible monster. We kept going, we had no other choice. By the time we were out of reach of Scylla three more men were taken. In all we lost 6 men to the 6 headed monster.
